Description
The invention of marzipan is usually attributed to Lübeck, Germany. Legend has it that during a 15th century famine when flour for making bread became scarce, the bakers created a replacement. Using eggs, sugar, and stores of almonds, the clever bakers came up with marzipan.
Since then, Marzipan can be found in different shapes and sizes, all over the world.
Our Marzipan recipe follows the German tradition with the beautiful fruit shapes that are almost to0 cute to eat. But, don't let that stop you, they are delicious!!
